SCHOOL FOR SHAPERS

Quiet Preparation For Serious Responsibility

When it actually matters

School for Shapers operates as a private development office. We work discreetly with business families and individuals at moments where judgment, discipline, and readiness matter more than credentials, visibility, or reassurance.

POSITIONING

School for Shapers
Does not operate in public.

  • We do not run group programmes.
  • We do not sell motivation, therapy, or inspiration.
  • We do not publish frameworks, methods, or case studies.
  • Our work is private, structured, and time-bound.
  • We help families gain clarity about readiness — and then decide what should happen next.

A QUIET TRUTH MOST PARENTS RECOGNISE

Most parents sense the issue early.

Something feels off — not catastrophic, but not settled either. Discipline slips. Pressure is avoided. Responsibility is postponed. The child is capable, but not yet dependable.

The hesitation is understandable. The cost of waiting is usually higher. School for Shapers exists for this exact moment.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This work is suited to:

Founders and parents in entrepreneurial families (£25m–£500m net worth)
Family-owned and founder-led businesses
Parents who see potential, but do not yet trust readiness
Situations where delay increases risk — personal, financial, or reputational

This work is not suited to:

Academic prestige signalling or credential accumulation
Group programmes or open enrolment
Therapy, diagnosis, or motivational frameworks
Individuals seeking reassurance without responsibility

WHY FAMILIES
COME TO US

Most succession problems do not begin with incompetence

They Begin
With

Avoidance of pressure
Emotional volatility under challenge
Inconsistent discipline
Unclear authority and blurred boundaries
Founders are compensating longer than they should

SFS

These patterns are usually recognised early. They are just rarely addressed clearly.

School for Shapers is brought in to provide that clarity — before the cost becomes visible.

HOW THE
WORK BEGINS

School for Shapers does not begin
with a programme.

It begins with a private, structured
conversation designed to answer one
question honestly:

Is this individual actually ready for responsibility — and if not, what must change before authority is transferred?

Some conversations end there. Others continue quietly and deliberately.

Nothing proceeds without clarity.

FOUNDER

FOUNDER School for Shapers is led by Kabir Bedi.

Kabir works privately with founders and family-owned businesses at moments where people’s decisions carry disproportionate consequences, particularly during succession planning, next-generation transition, and periods of instability or drift.

He holds an MBA from Imperial College Business School and brings over two decades of experience advising owners, boards, and senior leadership teams in complex, high-stakes environments. His background spans private advisory, executive development, and work inside founder-led organisations where individual behaviour, judgement, and discipline directly affected commercial outcomes

Over time, a significant part of Kabir’s work focused on next-generation family members — especially in situations where capability was present, but readiness for responsibility had not yet fully formed. His approach is grounded in identifying behavioural patterns early, clarifying expectations, and addressing people’s risk before it becomes visible in performance. relationships, or reputation.

Kabir works one-to-one, discreetly, and with clear endpoints. Engagements are designed to reduce complexity, not add to it.

Client identities and engagements are not public

If you are a parent or founder quietly thinking,
“I don’t want to get this wrong,”
We can have a private conversation.

This is not an application.
It is a screening discussion.
